Dear Adrienne, I do agree with you to not surrender to others as being anything higher than ourselves. But in the end, the expansion of the heart can come from true devotion, and it has great value. Can’t we look at these spiritual leaders as tools for us to experience our own divine nature? The chant of “my team” is so much better than “your team” is the norm on social media and in many circles. But, I ask you this, isn’t it presumptuous to think we can know what’s best for someone else in this highly personal journey of a soul?
